The European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) took place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November 2008 at the Kartika Expo Center - Balai Kartini, Jakarta. The EHEF in Jakarta was the first-ever event to promote European higher education in Indonesia. The fair was the largest European education event in the country and provided an interactive platform for representatives of EU Member States and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to inform Indonesian students, their parents and their study advisors about study opportunities in Europe. The EHEF was part of a series of European events implemented in seven Asian countries between 2006 and 2008 financed by the European Union's Asia-Link Programme. For more information about the Indonesian education market, please click here. Apart from information booths, country and EU presentations were also held where students were able to obtain more details about study opportunities and scholarship programmes, including the European Commission's Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Programme and Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses. Participation in EHEF Jakarta cost EUR 750 per exhibitor, which included: • approximately 9 square metres of exhibition space for two days: 1st - 2nd November 2008; • a standard booth (approx. 3m x 3m with fascia board and surrounding walls); • basic furniture and facilities in the booth (1 lockable cupboard, 2 chairs, 1 table, carpeted floor, 1 wastepaper bin, electric outlet, air-conditioning during opening hours, basic cleaning of general areas and general security services); • one entry in the official EHEF catalogue.
